BASILEA is a delightful youngster with several show credits to her name collected as a yearling. She is a full sister to Junior Spring Show Top Five Filly, Polish National Yearling Bronze Champion Filly, European Yearling Bronze Champion Filly and Bruges Arabian Event Junior Gold Champion Mare BRODNICA. Both sisters are daughters of Janów Podlaski’s royalty – POGROM and BAMBINA.

The most outstanding male equine to come out of the barns of Janów Podlaski in recent years, POGROM is an absolute sensation. In 2013 he took America by storm, becoming a US Triple Crown Winner as Scottsdale Supreme Champion, Arabian Breeders World Cup Champion & US National Champion Stallion, beating many of the most respected and acclaimed stallions from all over the globe. POGROM is the son of World Champion QR MARC, himself a son and grandson of the world's most prominent World Champions of today, MARWAN AL SHAQAB & GAZAL AL SHAQAB. Maternally POGROM lays claim to the damline of PIEWICA through PESTKA, whose daughters and granddaughter have produced as many as nine chief sires active in breeding in just recent years. This amazing group consists of show stars POGANIN, PORTO, PERSEUSZ, PEGASUS, PRADO and POGROM, as well as capable athletes used in the improvement of sport-oriented breeding: PENTAGRAM, POLIGON & PEDAGOG.

BASILEA’s dam BAMBINA is one of Janów’s most prized mares. She is a Junior Spring Show Yearling Gold Champion Mare, where she was awarded a score of 94,67 (!) from the jury panel upon her debut. Her other titles include Yearling Gold Champion Filly from the Al Khalediah Show and World Top Ten and European Top Five, among others.

Through BAMBINA, BASILEA traces directly to BANDOLA, full sister to epoch-changing stallion BASK and the dam of the iconic sire BANDOS. However recently it is the females that have brought new fame to this family. Bambina's immediate relatives include BELGICA, BERENIKA, BERNADETTA & BALLENA - dam of BIANCA OF SINUS: European Cup Yearling Gold Champion, Ströhen Arabian Horse Days Junior Silver Champion and 2023 Junior Spring Show Champion Filly.
